A chance for you to chat with and learn more about; 11.30am: Chelsea Dolman; winner of Youth Arts Scholarship. Chelsea will talk about her professional career development, and the challenges of making it on the international stage.
12.00pm: Tina Shaw, Author. Taupō based Tina Shaw is the author of five literary novels: Birdie, Dreams of America, City of Reeds, Paradise, and The Black Madonna; and since 2005 has started writing young adult novels including the critically acclaimed About Griffen’s Heart.
12.30pm: Donovan Bixley, Illustrator. Donovan is a bestselling children's illustrator and author. He is currently taking time away from attending Mozart recitals and Shakespeare festivals to conquer the world with his pre-historic fart-laced junior fiction series "Dinosaur Rescue", co-created with award-winning author Kyle Mewburn.
1.30pm: Susan Brocker, Author. Originally from Taupō and now residing in Tauranga, Susan is the author of four novels for Kiwi kids; following Restless Spirit and the bestselling Saving Sam, Dreams of Warriors and Wolf in the Wardrobe. She also wrote the true story of our Anzac horses in Brave Bess and the Anzac Horses.
Get hands on and try a new art, craft or activity; Throughout the day, various exhibitors on the Main Hall will be providing open workshop opportunities to try your hand at Scrapbooking, Clay work, Face painting, Fabric Art, Woodturning and Ukulele playing! Plus – check out the mobile More FM broadcasting unit outside the Great Lake Centre to learn about radio production and transmission.
